ABOUT
CHANCE CRAWFORD |
| The Chance Crawford
Benefit Softball Tournament began 29 years ago to help a young Salem
high school quarterback, Chance Crawford, who suffered a tragic spinal
cord injury in a high school football game. The first ten years of
the event helped Chance through school and college, and provided for
his medical needs. Chance is now serving as Clerk of Circuit Court
for Salem and no longer needs the help. Chance continues to make contributions
to the community through youth sports, Camp D.A.R.E., and through
allowing the tournament to continue in his name to help others. All
proceeds are now used to help many different worthy causes and include
several college scholarships. |
